The campaign organisation of the People’s Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, said the massive crowd that attended the Tuesday rally for the candidate in Lagos State is a “final blow to dictatorship”. The rally was held three days after President Muhammadu Buhari visited the state for a similar outing with his party, All Progressives Congress. While speaking at the speaking, Atiku pledged to reposition the economy and create jobs and wealth. His running mate Peter Obi solicited for support of Lagosians, touting Atiku’s pro-business credentials. PDP’s national chair, who also spoke at the rally, accused the ruling APC of planning to rig the poll.
